When do you know it’s time to get married?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:10:59 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

When you’ve been taking in as family even if you don’t know it yet, or you’re just naïve to realize it. Her dad likes you. Her mother adores you. Her little brother plays catch with you. Even the Labrador likes you. But the most obvious clue probably is that you look forward to a barbecue weekend with her family. You’re family, indeed. Why not make it official then and make a big splash out of it? No less than a Martin Flyer wedding ring will impress her whole tribe. The patented FlyerFit is the perfect symbol when you fit right in in her family and life. The glamor aside, giving her a Martin FlyerFit ring is telling her and her family that you are giving her the best that you can.

Space can freak you out

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:09:51 AM in Omega (26)

Omega is the official NASA timepiece. That hardly rings a bell for many until Sandra Bulllock showed us how life in outer space really is in the movie, Gravity. When the tiniest metal can suddenly become a deadly bullet as inertia hurls it across space, when the power of gravitational force can suck the power out of a 7-ton satellite, when you’re almost helpless being thrown up and down, sideways and in almost any conceivable directions, such is the hazards of outer space. Not the least the exit and entry from earth is one of the most extreme conditions an astronaut faces every space mission. It’s a far cry from the quiet, Zen-like floating space idea that we have from down here. If an Omega can survive outer spaces’ extreme forces, what more on earth?

Do you and your partner still talk for hours?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:08:29 AM in Marco Bicego (31)

Do you still remember talking with each other for long hours about the most trivial things? You’re in love and it didn’t matter where the conversation would lead to. You just loved the idea of hanging out with each other. If you two are still doing this even as not often as back then, it’s a sign that your relationship is healthy. That shows that you still enjoy each other’s company, and not just because you need to for the children.  It’s likely that you cannot remember the topics of your conversation. You just know it takes a long while. But there may be some topics that stand out, like if you’re buying her a Marco Bicego Murano necklace, perhaps. She’s been requesting you to, and you keep dilly-dallying around the issue. Give it a break. She deserves a Marco Bicego. Heck, your relationship deserves the best.

The prettiest girl in the room doesn’t interest you

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:07:16 AM in Konstantino (28)

It’s almost impossible and surreal, you thought. There, across the room, was the prettiest girl you’ve seen. You took a second look, and a third, but it was more of a biological response, your manly genes that triggered you to appreciate her. Something’s wrong, you said to yourself. You’re not looking at her out of a burning desire to know her. You’re just looking at her. You used to think of ways to get a pretty girl’s attention, much like the other guys in the room elbowing each other to get her attention to your amusement. It doesn’t interest you to get her attention. It’s enough that she gets your attention. Because tonight, you’ll drive home and give your wife a Konstantino bangle to impress her with its fine line of Greek-inspired designs.

How much do you love your man?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:05:43 AM in Hamilton Watch (29)

He bought you an expensive jewelry on your last birthday, now it’s time to give the favor back. It’s his birthday. Contrary to the popular notion, men are also vain and they, too, crave for bling-bling to wear. If there’s one bling that doesn’t fail to impress them, it’s a luxury timepiece like a Hamilton Watch. Give him The Jazzmaster. It’s but the apex of Hamilton elegance. The casing blends seamlessly with the skeletal metal theme, showcasing the precision movement inside. When you walk out on her

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:04:11 AM in David Yurman (31)

Even the most perfect couple falls for a heated argument. If you’ve walked out on her during one of these heightened emotional states, you’ve probably entertained thoughts that your relationship was doomed. In your mind, you’ve probably enumerated her many faults, and why she probably was not the woman you’re planning to spend the rest of your life with. It’s normal; you’re justifying her failures to strengthen your side of the argument, and it’s full of “probablies.” But do you know the secret to a long-lasting relationship? By walking back to her. Better yet with a David Yurman necklace, the graceful and elegant collection of fine jewelries, to show you’re sorry. Marriage experts believe that couples should always settle an argument. We beg to differ. The argument is not the point. It’s living together despite of the argument that keeps the couple together.

You’re comfortable with her little quirks

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:01:28 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

It’s a normal pattern in a relationship. Initially, you find her little annoying habits amusing because they give you a clue about her personality. She mesmerizes you so you tend to overlook her quirks. She may leave the door open when going out of the bathroom or let the water run while brushing her teeth and you don’t mind. But soon, you start to bring her attention to her little quirks. It’s annoying you and you want her to change her habits. That’s often a sign that your relationship is at its tail end. On the other hand, if after a long period of living with her and you find yourself comfortable with these quirks and let her do her thing as you do yours, it means you’ve accepted her as she is. You’re ready to pop the question. When you do, make it a Christopher Designs, the diamond ring renowned for its 58 facets and timeless elegance.

Folkloric Luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:50:52 PM in Slane (22)

How about infusing some folk arts into your jewelry? The Slane Basket Weave did just that. Using a range of materials, such as sterling silver, yellow gold, crystal, and diamond, this Slane collection lends luxury an eccentric touch, highlighted by precious stones such as turquoise, sapphires, and pearls. Bracelets become an artistic rendition of woven patterns.  Earrings turn into a contrast of folksy and elegant creation with dangling tiny baskets. The same inspired theme boldly runs along the Slane rings, crafted and etched with intricate weaving patterns. Likewise, the pendants are highlighted with precious stones like onyx and blue topaz set in sterling silver. The Slane Basket Weave is at once a take on folk arts and elegance, a feat gracefully accomplished by the designer luxury brand.

The New Army Has Arrived

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:49:35 PM in Swiss Army (24)

It’s one of those little innovations that made living more convenient. That is, if you’re living outdoors. The Original Swiss Army knife, the little red utility pocket knife that campers and outdoor lovers have entrusted their cooking and accommodation—and sometimes welfare—for decades now is today as indispensible as air and water when enjoying the great outdoors. But maybe it’s time to replace this reliable old friend. The Swiss Army line of other utility pocket knives offers the same flexibility and functionality that take inspiration from their old man. There’s an elegant stainless, grey pocket knife that you can easily tuck in in the tightest pocket or nook in your small bag. Another knife has fewer tools but kept the most essential; it’s perfect if you’re traveling light. Yet another features a USB stick, something that has become as essential as the blade when traveling. The new army has arrived, but, thankfully, they all exhibit the same reliability and downright functionality of the old army, but with a little flair this time.

Italian jewelry seems to have an edge in their designs. Not precision machineries nor state-of-the-art technology, but a deep passion in their art that guided the hands behind the crafting of high-end Italian jewelry. Roberto Coin exemplifies this typical Italian flair that dates back from the Roman sculptures, through the Renaissance paintings, and to this day of contemporary Italian stylistic approach. Wearing a Roberto Coin is almost like wearing art on you. You become the canvass of his masterpiece. His line of jewelry, from bracelets to necklaces and earrings, are trendy without being outlandish. The Beauty of Black

Pearls are beautiful in their raw state. But in the hands of Mikimoto, they become astoundingly beautiful. The Mikimoto Black South Sea is but one of the designer jewelry brand’s products borne out of the company’s dedication to leveling up pearls into a masterpiece. It’s so delicately created that a Black South Sea necklace can take two years to make to find the best-matching pearls for the necklace. It’s an arduous process that’s worth the wait. Looking at the seemingly bottomless inside of a Black South Sea, the eye is captured and drawn to the deepest recesses of this pearl, unblemished and alluring in its subtle gleam. It’s indeed a highly prized jewelry deserving only the glitziest nights to showcase it.

Dress watch tips

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:42:16 PM in Philip Stein (20)

The fine if not unique lines of a Philip Stein are classic, and combined with leather strap, the signature timepiece is a picture of an elegant dress watch. Indeed, a Philip Stein is an easy way to upgrade your formal dress from smart to really cool. In celebration of dress watches, here are a few tips (but not cardinal law) on the DOs and DONTs of wearing dress watch like a Philip Stein. The watch should be made of precious metal, either sterling silver, gold or platinum and it should be analogue, not a LED display. It must have discretion or subtle approach in style, not too much “bling-bling” common in a sports watch. As a general rule, the watch’s metal should match the cufflinks, belt buckle and other jewelry worn by the man. But a man can come up with a distinct sleek style even by combining different metals. Overall, it’s his taste for balance that will dictate his fashion sophistication.

Why choose Mémoire diamond ring?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:41:08 PM in Memoire (23)

Mémoire has two simple premises why its line of diamond rings are best-in-value choice. Its diamonds are from quality sources and it uses the finest techniques in diamond mounting. The luxury signature said all its diamonds are micrograded under the strict supervision of a GIA Graduate Gemologist before the stone is set. GIA or Gemological Institute of America is the premier organization that grades precious and semiprecious stones in the jewelry business to assure consumer welfare. The diamonds are consistently selected based on shape, size, color, and combinations that have passed GIA benchmarks. Likewise, Mémoire is noted for its two-prong style mounts. The patented Petite Prong mountings use hot extrusion process and laser cutting to achieve a sturdy yet elegant finish. Furthermore, the two-prong style allows the greatest amount of light to enter the diamond and create a sparkling, scintillating show.

A Watch above anything on earth

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:38:31 PM in Omega (26)

If you think it’s all peace and quiet up there in the outer space, go watch Gravity, a film that depicts the perils faced by astronauts every time they venture in that frontier. The pressure is punishing, and even the tiniest piece of metal can suddenly turn to deadly shrapnel. The more you imagine the harsh conditions up there, the more you get to appreciate how an Omega watch can take this punishment and still deliver accurate timekeeping. The watch has been one of the most critical instruments that astronauts have relied on to conduct space missions. Its co-axial technology, state-of-the-art mechanical craftsmanship, and not the least it’s impressively nice to wear, have placed Omega as one of the highest standards in Swiss watchmaking. When you wear an Omega, you don’t only wear a luxury brand, but a timepiece that is literally above any watch on earth.

Small wedding ideas

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:31:29 PM in Kirk Kara (30)

Weddings are made even more memorable when your guests are involved. Beyond impressing them with the grandeur of the ceremony or your Kirk Kara diamond ring, getting your guests into the action makes a real treat. For example, ask some of your musically talented guests to lead the others in a musical parade. The parade can be a short walk to the venue. Or, you can ask guests to recite a vow (a prepared script for them should be handy) with questions like, “Do you guests promise to support our newly married couple when they need support?” They can reply, “Yes, we do.” Here’s a simple but symbolic way to make guests wish your marriage well: Put a wishing basket in a center area with small stones around it. Guests can pick a stone, whisper their wish and put it in a basket. The couple can even take these stones home for posterity.

Tips on wearing jewelry at the boardroom

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:30:03 PM in Judith Ripka (22)

Wearing luxury jewelry today like a Judith Ripka necklace is more than ever accepted today inside the male-dominated boardroom, as more career women climb the corporate ladder. Still, it pays to delineate the line between elegance and appropriate business attire. As a general thumb, the jewelry should not interfere with your work or your colleagues’. Long necklaces or those with full of pendants may grab unnecessary attention. Judith Ripka’s simple linear necklaces are a good example of appropriate luxury. It’s subtle yet impressive in single pendants. Likewise, do not over accessorize. A single layer necklace is often enough to project a nice look. If you want to layer two or three, make sure the chain is thin to avoid a “heavy” appearance. Remember, it’s not about showing off your luxury, rather it’s about your fashion taste that you want to project.

Basic career fashion tips for men

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:06:14 PM in Baume & Mercier (23)

There’s power in dressing so dress up properly. For everyday career wear for men, consider these three simple fashion tips to project a winning everyday wardrobe. Build a range of khaki or gray dress and casual pants and match them with a nice belt. Gray and khaki almost always complement any color. It’s easy to match them with a white shirt, a pink polo, or a blue sports coat. Likewise, wear a button-down collar when you’re not donning a tie. Button-down allows the collar to stay in shape even if you unbutton the polo’s top button. Lastly, wear leather shoes, always even on casual days at the office. Snickers are too informal and are best reserved for your kids. Cap your overall neat, career-casual wear with the simple and elegant design of Baume & Mercier Clifton. It’s subdued luxury that projects its own confidence in quiet fashion.
