Guaranteed for Life

Posted by Schwarzschild at 4:00:00 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

We think of buying as the end of something. But sometimes, it is not. You may find yourself in a situation where you just bought an unreliable, undependable, or sadly, not durable product. It may be something as whimsical as a pair of shoes or as expensive as jewelry. Nevertheless, it’s a waste of time and money if the warranty is only limited to a specific time. Limited warranty, as I always believe, only shows that the maker has limited faith in the product it sold. Lifetime warranty, on the other hand, shows great promise and commitment that the quality and character of product sold is beyond reproach. A. Jaffe, for example, makers of exquisite and superb diamond jewelry pieces, guarantees that its buyers are assured of quality craftsmanship, authentic pieces, and free of defects – for a lifetime.

How to choose an engagement ring

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:00:00 PM in A. Jaffe (25)

Buying an engagement ring like A. Jaffe is one of the everlasting decisions you have to live with, so make sure you get the ropes right. It all boils down to carefully assessing the jeweler, the brand, and the piece itself. First, the jeweler must listen to your preferences. If he insists on what he likes--not what you like--find another one. Second, he should have credentials, an authorized dealer for the brand you’re buying. Third, make sure the jeweler is knowledgeable about the different engagement rings, not only by brands, but by their classifications, types, materials, etc. He should also teach you the right way to assess a diamond and not bamboozle you with jargon. Finally, he should give you clear terms on returns and warranties.

Ups and downs

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:00:00 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

Marriages are bound to get rocky so you should prepare for it. One of the best ways to reinforce your relationship is to expect that you'll go through the ups and downs of a normal marriage. Factors such as work, children, money, other people, etc. will test the strength of your vows to each other. When faced with difficulties, don't displace your anger on your partner. It's best to release your anger someplace first, for example, relaxing in a bar, before you talk to your partner or children. Likewise, don't try to fix all problems at once. Some problems are small and can be glossed over. For example, maybe you can just ignore the clutter in the house than constantly nag your partner about it. During moments when you think the down moment is insurmountable, look at the A. Jaffe wedding ring you're wearing and you'll remember that your love for each other is stronger than even the worst downs.

How diamond jewelry is made

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:03:25 PM in A. Jaffe (25)

A diamond goes to a number of processes before it is transformed into an elegant jewelry ring like A. Jaffe. When you buy a diamond, it will be the oldest material you’ll own because it took millions of years to form them under intense heat. It all starts with the discovery. Your diamond is likely to have come from any of the mines in Africa, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Canada, French Guiana, USA, Venezuela and Australia. It will be sorted out and graded before sending off to cutting centers. This is where a skilled cutter creates the multifacets of a diamond to create the most scintillation. From here, the diamond goes through bruting to grind the shape, and then polishing to create brilliance. Then it goes to the jeweler setter, who places the diamond or diamonds in the style prescribed by the jewelry maker.

How to make an irresistible engagement speech

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:38:26 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

Are you planning to pop the question soon? Don’t forget the most important part when asking for her approval. No, it’s not the ring (although an A. Jaffe will help), but your speech. The most memorable engagement scenes are those crafted by words, not by material things. We can’t teach you the best speech for your big day; only guide you on how to put a little magic into your words. First, use her full name to open the speech. That should jolt her a bit.  But follow it up with her nick name or whatever you two use. Second, recall the first time you met her to put nostalgia in the air. Third, and this is the most critical part, tell her specifics; how you’ve found her attractive and knew she’s the one. Mention her hair, her eyes, her traits, her curves if you must. Oh, and don’t forget to ask the question at, and we mean only at, the last part.

The Seasons of Love

For the New York-based jeweller A. Jaffe, the 1960s to 1980s period is best remembered as a time beaming with self-expression and individual freedom. This was when the Gays Rights and the Civil Rights movements had gained fruition. Monumental events such as the epochal Woodstock Festival and filming of movies like "The Way We Were" and "West Side Story" made the evolving New York culture to be known throughout everywhere. A. Jaffe pays homage to the overflowing love of this era by creating The Seasons of Love® — a collection that showcases with rings that are romantically eccentric and express individual style. A popular piece is the A. Jaffe Delicate Pave Bridal Engagement Ring, featuring a unique design and prong setting, with a cushioned center diamond.

Bridges to history

Posted by Schwarzschild at 8:30:00 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

Every A. Jaffe creation epitomizes a deep legacy shaped by one of the four eras that embody the acclaimed jewelry maker’s century-long history. These four eras are Classics, Art Deco, Seasons of Love, and Metropolitan. For A. Jaffe, the early 1930s until late 1950s is Art Deco, a period that witnessed World War II and the conclusion of the Great Depression. This is also the time when the U.S. is in dire need of a brand new start, with New York as the focal point, and where the iconic Art Deco architecture-inspired structures had emerged. The A. Jaffe Art Deco collection mirrors this great American rebirth through its elegantly sculptured pieces, which embody Art Deco architecture’s unparalleled durability and endurance. The collection includes a wide selection to choose from — such as the Vintage Art Deco Engagement Ring — with each piece meticulously created to help you out express your undying love and commitment to your loved one.

Tweaking timeless elegance

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:24:29 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

Engagement and wedding rings are timeless and classic, but sometimes you just want them in a different style for a change. At A. Jaffe they created a teasingly novel design that is both sensual and traditional. The solitaire round diamond suggests all that is timeless about this A. Jaffe engagement ring. But the prong and the manner the stone is set are clearly contemporary. The band is hardly the usual among engagement and wedding rings. It is twisting and slender, almost reminiscent of the coiling branches of a smoothened bark. In a step away from tradition, the band exhibits minute diamonds to accent the luxury of this ring. Of course, the single diamond is still the star of the ring, but we cannot hide the fact that A. Jaffe has created a rightful challenge to classic styled diamond rings. A Jaffe is available in Schwarzschild's at Short Pump Town Center.

A Signature worth the diamond

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:45:20 PM in A. Jaffe (25)

Preparing for an engagement day demands no less than picking the right diamond. It should be an A. Jaffe diamond. The heritage is remarkable. A. Jaffe’s 120 years in diamond jewellery reflect the company’s timeless diamond craftsmanship and design. The luxury diamond signature has gone through four time periods: Classics, Art Deco, Seasons of Love and Metropolitan. A. Jaffe is likewise renowned for diamonds that seem to exude more brilliance. The secret behind this is the company’s meticulous selection process that rejects most of the rough diamond and retains only the best stones. More importantly, A. Jaffe can personalize the diamond to match your band or ring without added cost. An A. Jaffe ring is also noticeably more comfortable to wear because of its unique engineering and fit.

A dream come true

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:44:24 PM in A. Jaffe (25)

Harry called. No, it wasn't an emergency, he said he just wanted to see you. You had tons to do but he was insistent. Dropping everything, you grabbed your purse and hailed a taxi. It was just a little past seven when you entered the restaurant. You saw Harry first. His back was to you that he didn't see you come in. Your man looked as nervous as little a boy on the first day of school. It took the better part of an hour before he finally popped the surprise. Then everything went hazy. You could see his lips moving but what he was saying, you couldn't quite make out. Your mouth was dry, you could feel your heart racing as he put the shiny thing on your finger. No wonder, it’s the A. Jaffe's Cushion Cut Halo Engagement Ring. A part of the designer's Vintage Collection, this piece features detailed settings of perfectly cut diamonds. Endowed with a luxurious center stone, it’s a dream come true for any lady.

Art Deco revisited

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:41:01 AM in A. Jaffe (25)

Old Europe experienced the Renaissance in just about every aspect of living. This cultural rebirth, which spanned from the 14th to the 17th century influenced the sciences, arts, education and even politics. In modern America, the same change came following the Great Depression. It was a period marked by a new view of romance and architectural feats. A time when New York's skyline was at its infancy, it was when Art Deco architecture blossomed, signifying luxury, glamor and technology. Top jeweler A. Jaffe takes us back in time with its A. Jaffe Art Deco (1931-1960) collection. Taking inspiration from the architectural designs of the time, these line of rings features sculptured diamonds at their finest. It's a befitting tribute to the American Renaissance.

Bands That Bind

How does one make a relationship truly last a lifetime? Apart from exchanging vows, promises of devotion, and the ceremonial sealing of the matrimonial oath with a passionate kiss, weddings will not be complete without the wedding band.  A practice believed to have originated in Europe, the wedding band eventually spread to other parts of the world. In the United States, wearing such ring was originally limited to wives. It was only during the 20th century that wearing of wedding bands by both spouses came into prominence. A leader in luxury wedding jewelry creation, A. Jaffe melds traditional craftsmanship and modern style in its Princess Channel Wedding Band, a simple yet elegantly crafted wedding band guaranteed to last beyond a lifetime. A majestic symbol of true love forged of art and beauty.
