3 Wedding gown trends in 2017

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:00:45 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Getting married soon? As early as now, be aware of the next-spring wedding gown fashion trends so your own suits the times. The overall theme, according to Bride.com, is a sexier bridal fashion in 2017, following the bold floral embroidered gowns of this year. One trend next year is the off-the-shoulder gown. The bare-shoulder style is teasing and playful, while still maintaining a classic appeal. Another expected trend will be the oversized bows. It can be placed as a back or waist highlight or even attached to bridal jewelry like Christopher Designs. The bow adds a romantic feel to your gown. Likewise, bridal gowns are expected to have some colors in 2017, notably, rose quartz and serenity. “Something blue” has also been teased by many bridal fashion designers.

Color diamonds for engagement?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Should you give a color diamond for an engagement ring? Conservatives will say engagement and wedding rings should only be the traditional white diamond to symbolize purity of love. But color diamonds also symbolize meanings and they can be more precise. For example, red diamonds are believed to represent true love, while yellow diamonds mean selflessness or caring. Moreover, fancy color diamonds like red, green, and blue are rarer, so they lend to engagement rings an air of exclusivity and more value. Color diamonds like Christopher Designs are also becoming the favorite of celebrities, making them trendy and chic. However, before you give a color diamond make sure your partner is drawn to trendy styles. Likewise, ensure that you’re giving the right color that represents either her personality or favorite color.

The Diamond of European and American ancestry

Posted by Schwarzschild at 11:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Look closely at a Christopher Designs diamond and you’ll immediately sense it’s a work of art, a product borne out of passion and perfection. The core of the diamond sees to glow eternally and brighter than other diamonds. It reminds you that this diamond has been formed through millennia under intense heat in the earth’s bowels and the tiny facets are the result of continuous compression for millions of years. In the hands of a master diamond jeweler, the diamond is further elevated into, arguably, one of the world’s most perfect diamond cut. Christopher Designs prides itself for the Crisscut Diamond it patented. It has extra brilliance and evokes passion. The signature carries the founder’s European heritage of jewelry making, as well as its American heritage for innovation.

Colored diamonds for joy

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Colored diamonds are not only trendy today, thanks to Hollywood celebrities who express their preference for these diamonds. Colored diamonds also exude a jovial spirit, an interesting aura to the usually stoic atmosphere of white diamonds. If you like to jump into collecting excellent colored diamonds, start with Christopher Designs. The brand has a rich line of pink, blue, yellow, and green diamonds, set in exquisite and finely crafted precious metals. You can wear a combination of colors or focus on a monochromatic style. The colored diamonds are also great in creating accents to dresses in neutral colors, such as, white, black, grey, cream, and brown. Moreover, you stand out in a group of women wearing only white diamond jewelry. And because they can appear like other colored gemstones such as sapphire and amethyst, colored diamonds can be worn on a casual day.

Is love at first sight real?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:51:23 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

It’s a cliche that you only read in romance novels. Well, you can in fact read it in a study. According to “Singles in America” survey of 5,000 singles between 21-70+, 59% of men and 49% of women said last year that they believe in love at first sight. Moreover, 41% of men and 29% of women said they have gone through it. Although the survey didn’t prove that something as emotionally subjective as “love at first sight” can be quantified, it did shed light on something interesting: men seem to believe more in it. New York-based anthropologist Helen Fisher said the reason maybe because men are visual. “They see a woman who appeals to them physically, and it will trigger the romantic love system faster,” she said. Men, at least the rich type, are known to give expensive diamond jewelry (a Christopher Designs, for instance) on a first date. On the other hand, women, she said, are more careful being the “custodian of the egg.”

Romantic dinner at home

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:37:29 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

Having a romantic dinner at home can be a nice idea for a couple of big reasons. First, you have all the privacy you’ll need as the dinner date progresses into a crescendo after you’ve shown her the Christopher Designs ring.  Second, it’s cheaper. The only drawback is, what should you prepare? If you’re not a cook, there are a lot of sites offering romantic dinner recipes. Our favorite is a combination of barbecue scallops (makes you look exotic), crab rigatoni (the Italian word adds to the romance), white pepper steak (sounds delicious but easy to make), and summer fruit with amaretti biscuit (sounds teasingly delicious). The trick is to prepare dishes that are easy to cook and top it with fancy ingredients to make it look professional. Don’t forget the champagne and candles.

Ways to Pop the Q

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:40:35 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

You can set up a most memorable engagement announcement by thinking of three main things: place, event, or time. Think of a special place that fits the moment. It can be a luxurious restaurant or a sentimental place like the café where you two met. You can also create a special event. Set up a surprise party for her or bring her to a mundane happening like asking her to help you fix the car before surprising her with a lavish setup, complete with a quartet. Likewise, you can make your own flash crowd event.  On the other hand, you can choose a special day that holds memories or value to both of you. For instance, the birthday of her late father. Invite her to a dinner and talk about her dad. Then you can segue about promising him that you’ll take care of her daughter. Then give her the Christopher Design ring.

Best places to pop the question

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:14:18 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

So you’re ready to ask her hand for marriage. You’ve practiced the line and bought a really impressive Christopher Designs diamond ring. Now comes the tricky part where to pop the question. If you have the cash to splurge do it in one of the most romantic places: Rome’s Trevi Fountain or just about in any nice and quiet corner in the Eternal City. A beach location is also ideal for an engagement getaway. The White Beach of Boracay in the Philippines or Kuta Beach in Bali is a sure winner. You can also put adventure into it like heading off to hike Tulum or dive the Great Barrier Reef. Quaint villages are another sweet spot to get her Yes. Italy’s Amalfi Coast is the poster child of romantic small towns. Then again while in Italy, you can take her to a gondola ride in Venice and wait for that perfect moment.

How to flaunt luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:28:04 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

Sometimes you just have to reveal it. You deserve it. You worked hard for it. We’d understand if you bare it all.  Your wealth, that is. But showcasing your wealth by throwing or giving away money is tacky. It’s an art that requires a refined strategy. Here are some ways how you can flaunt wealth without trying hard. Buy a really expensive car. The more exclusive, the better. Travel to exotic places and post tons of photos in your social networks. Wear brands from feet to head, including shoes, suits and scents. Party hard and party at the right place where the rich hang out. Buy a really big house and live elsewhere. It’s an investment for your wealth, not a residence. Lastly, accessorize. Wear signatures like Christopher Designs diamonds and heads will sure agree—you’re made.

Reminiscing my cheap ring

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:38:22 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

I recently gave my wife a Christopher Designs Crisscut Emerald and she was visibly impressed. It doesn’t come cheap, but I have a substantial career now (advertising), and I wanted to give her something luxurious just because I could. It was not like that ten years ago. We’re planning to get married and I, the lowly production clerk, had nothing but my declaration of love to show off. I did manage to get her a wedding ring, but rust took over its band a year after our marriage. Buried in my work to secure my newfound life all those years, I kept thinking, one day, I’d give her a truly luxurious ring.  I did it. But sometimes, it’s not luxury that makes a ring priceless. We talked about that rusty ring and had a laugh for the whole night. It sparked off other memories that we have shared over the years. I miss that cheap ring.

Creating a world of his own

Posted by Schwarzschild at 8:37:46 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Most would agree with the saying that, “If you cannot beat them, join them.” But when Christopher Slowinski migrated to the U.S. 25 years ago to start his own jewelry making trade, he most likely disagreed to join the industry bandwagon. Because of sheer artistic genius and business acumen, backed by his excellent training in fine European jewelry making, Mr. Slowinski chose not to follow the existing standards and designs in diamond cuts — he instead created his own, with the unique (and patented) Crisscut. By integrating time-proven processes with cutting-edge design techniques, Christopher Design’s Crisscut innovatively integrates “crisscrossed” facets that substantially elevate the normal fire and brilliance of a diamond into a far new level.

The Luxury of imperfection

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:39:21 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

Diamonds have rigid matrix that, sometimes, some impurities are trapped within the facets creating an “imperfect” appearance. These imperfections are rare that, in fact, they are given additional value and regarded fancy like yellow diamonds, where nitrogen elements are trapped in the lattice. Moreover, these imperfections vary in great detail, that experts generally measure the degree of imperfections—in this case the degree of yellowness—using four characteristics. The tone suggests the brightness of the color. The hue indicates the totality of the color, whether the yellow leans towards being bluish or greenish. Saturation is the intensity of the color, and the presence of secondary color that can alter the yellow. Christopher Designs yellow diamonds adhere to the highest standards using these benchmarks. Its yellow diamond provides an elegant accent to the tiny white diamonds surrounding it.

You’re comfortable with her little quirks

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:01:28 AM in Christopher Designs (25)

It’s a normal pattern in a relationship. Initially, you find her little annoying habits amusing because they give you a clue about her personality. She mesmerizes you so you tend to overlook her quirks. She may leave the door open when going out of the bathroom or let the water run while brushing her teeth and you don’t mind. But soon, you start to bring her attention to her little quirks. It’s annoying you and you want her to change her habits. That’s often a sign that your relationship is at its tail end. On the other hand, if after a long period of living with her and you find yourself comfortable with these quirks and let her do her thing as you do yours, it means you’ve accepted her as she is. You’re ready to pop the question. When you do, make it a Christopher Designs, the diamond ring renowned for its 58 facets and timeless elegance.

Asscher cut reborn

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:50:12 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

Renowned diamond cutter Joseph Asscher came up with the original Asscher cut in 1902. The first ever signature diamond cut to be patented, the Asscher cut became so popular that many pieces were sold internationally. But what made this technique extremely fascinating among diamond enthusiasts? Well, this technique is known to create the illusion of great depth by placing the eye into the center of the diamond. But with this innovation in stone faceting comes a setback, as the diamond loses some of its brillance owing to light leakage from the bottom of the stone. Noted diamond jewelry designer Christopher Designs has solved this minor flaw in the Asscher cut. Its Crisscut Asscher is faceted using the designer's exclusive Crisscut facet configuration. This combination of the latest technology and traditional craftsmanship has taken the Asscher cut one step closer to perfection.

Emerald enchantment

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:34:49 PM in Christopher Designs (25)

Some gemstones, as less precious than their diamond cousins as they are, continue to capture the fancy of jewelers. Among these precious stones is the emerald, a variety of the mineral beryl, whose mostly green hue is the byproduct of its vanadium content. Despite its beauty, this gem is known to be notoriously breakable, but its beauty apparently overcomes this minor infirmity as this gem continues to find its way into fine jewelry. Christopher Designs has taken the emerald and turned it into an exquisite piece that exudes art and elegance. The Crisscut Emerald is a testament to the designer's reputation as a master jeweler. This line of fine rings showcases precision-cut emeralds polished to perfection.
