Konstantino Nemesis Petite Pendant

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:00:00 AM in Konstantino (27)

Suspended on a golden ring, the Konstantino Nemesis Petite Pendant is simple in concept but nonetheless pleasing to the senses. After all, the contrasting colors of its gold and sterling silver have been brought together to create the perfect backdrop for its gemstone centerpiece, which has been cut and polished in order to accentuate its natural brilliance. The result is nothing short of spectacular, being a profound demonstration of how even the simplest geometric shapes can be combined with the right materials and the right craftsmanship into something wonderful.

Given this, it should come as no surprise to learn that Konstantino draws inspiration from the ancient Greek culture that surrounded him as he grew up. In his own words, he wanted to create jewellery that expressed the ancient Greek art, architecture, history, and mythology that permeated his homeland, resulting in pieces born of the modern world but showing a classical elegance in their adoption of timeless principles. As a result, while the jewellery bearing Konstantinos' name honor the past, there is no doubt that they are also meant for the people of the present as well as the people of all the ages of the world that are still to come, thus making them truly timeless.

Jewelry and the Arts

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:00:00 AM in Konstantino (27)

Although many diamond jewelry signatures focus on the use of the most exclusive gemstones and precious metals to exude their luxurious appeal, a few jewelry brands have a different approach in branding: they lend to the wearer a cultural and heritage allure. Brands like Konstantino, which creates stunning jewelry pieces inspired by the arts and culture of ancient Greece and Byzantine. What is unique about this signature is that, if you love to travel or enjoy culture and literature, the style and design highlight your aspiration to be a jetsetter. The stunning collections include the Hebe Collection, Iliada Collection, and Orpheus Men’s Collection. Apart from wearing a luxury brand, when you wear a Konstantino, you showcase your sophisticated taste for the arts. This separates Konstantino from other luxury brands.

Beach fun with style

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:00:00 AM in Konstantino (27)

Summer’s near and nothing says summer more than the beach. Sun-kissed white sand, salty sea, and clear blue skies, they match a white and casual wear. But it doesn’t mean you can’t wear luxury jewelry while enjoying your favorite summer destination. Not exactly because there are jewelry brands that fit a summer feel. Konstantino’s Aegean Sea is one of these. Its turquoise stone accents lend to the pieces a coastal feel and its rock crystals reflect the wave foams against a tranquil sea. It reminds oneself of the Mediterranean Greek cost, from which the collection gets its inspiration. You can wear its pendants, cuffs, rings, and necklaces on a simple beach casual, matching it with a wide-brim hat, white blouse, and nature-inspired flip flops. Beach fun has never been this stylish.

Of war and jewelry

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:00:00 AM in Konstantino (27)

For the acclaimed Italian jewelry designer Konstantino, jewelry making is both an art and a cultural experience. Each jewelry piece should only be created out of the jewelry designer's deep, undying love for the craft so as to make the endeavor worthwhile and ensure elegance, value, and essence are captured in every piece. Konstantino is also known to design astounding pieces for both men and women, and tends to derive much of his inspiration from his country's rich culture, history and tradition. For instance, Konstantino's Ares is the designer's celebration of the fearless Greek god of war in a collection of pieces featuring audacious armaments fashioned of eye-catching strokes of black diamond, deep black onyx and sterling silver links.

Konstantino pieces are not just jewelry. They are art dangling around one's body. They do not only embellish. They make the wearer and the witnesses feel something. And this is what art is. It moves people. Konstantino is proud of his Greek heritage and it shows in his pieces. He does not only take inspiration from the natural beauty that is Greece but also takes inspirations from Greek literature, architecture and art. One of his Fashion Collection line is the Phidias Collection. Greece's most celebrated jewelry export

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:35:00 AM in Konstantino (27)

In some tiny jewelry workshop in Athens, master craftsmen are etching and molding jewelry pieces from cufflinks and cuffs to pendants and rings with attention to details to create stunning ancient Greek and Byzantine-inspired artworks. The same pieces that are being churned out of this workshop will soon find themselves in glitzy shops in the U.S., Neiman Marcus, for instance. Before long, a Konstantino piece finds its way to a celebrity or three maybe. Oprah was spotted wearing a gemstone-engraved cuff during her interview with Tom Cruise. Keith Richards was seen wearing an incidental Konstantino bracelet in an ad, not of the jewelry, but of Louis Vuitton. Likewise, Brad Pitt wore a sterling silver and 18k gold Konstantino ring in one of his promo appearances for "The Counselor."

Byzantine connection

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:26:26 PM in Konstantino (27)

Byzantine art would have a deep influence in royal opulence and Renaissance culture for its rich tapestry and deep intricate lavish designs. Silver, gold, silk and gemstones combined to create one of ancient civilizations most impressive opulent crafts and artefacts. This is the inspiration behind Konstantino jewelry including its Nykta Collection. The set includes bracelets, rings and necklace featuring black onyx accented by luminescent pearls and set in sterling silver and gold highlights. The Byzantine influence

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:01:53 PM in Konstantino (27)

An offshoot of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire gradually forged its own culture, beliefs, and arts, driven by its expanding contact with the east. Its art started off with Greek and Roman classical influences, but over time, Byzantine acquired its own flavor to form its own medieval style with oriental inspirations. The unique combination of classical and intricate Orthodox art is the inspiration behind Konstantino’s collections of finely and intricately crafted jewelry of silver and precious stones. Each design line reflects the Greek heritage, while espousing the pomp and splendor of medieval Byzantine. The Thalassa, Ilios, Iris, and Astritis share a common heritage, yet each also produces its own mystic and elegance. A Konstantino bangle paired with earrings and rings creates a most glamorous style fit for a royal.

Between the goddess and the deep blue sea

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:06:11 AM in Konstantino (27)

Greek mythology claims that all of life had originated from the sea, which is the domain of the mighty yet alluring sea goddess Thalassa. Known as the mother of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, Thalassa is said to also be the primordial deity that every living thing depend upon to live. Konstantino created the Thalassa collection to extol the sheer beauty and magnificence of the Greek sea goddess through an exquisite line of jewelry pieces that only this famed Greek jewelry designer can sublimely conceive. With dainty sterling silver that engulfs the scintillating “waters” of London Blue faceted topaz stones, wearers will be enchanted by the Thalassa collection’s subtle yet completely enthralling serenity.

Behold the Greek goddess

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:07:08 AM in Konstantino (27)

Being the wife of the supreme Greek god Zeus, Hera automatically holds a similarly lofty place — not to mention substantial clout — in the Olympian pantheon. Hera is the goddess of marriage and women and is typically depicted as a very solemn and royal woman. Inspired by this gracious queen of Greek mythology, Konstantino created the majestic Hera collection, which includes the regal Hera Silver Cuff. Specially handcrafted in Athens, Greece, this piece is made from elegant sterling silver designed with carved, beaded features that tend to capture light from a myriad of angles. So if you’re looking for a new brooch for a special evening activity or to enhance your corporate attire, the Hera Silver cuff is guaranteed to vitalize your image with Hera-like charisma and boldness.

The prettiest girl in the room doesn’t interest you

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:07:16 AM in Konstantino (27)

It’s almost impossible and surreal, you thought. There, across the room, was the prettiest girl you’ve seen. You took a second look, and a third, but it was more of a biological response, your manly genes that triggered you to appreciate her. Something’s wrong, you said to yourself. You’re not looking at her out of a burning desire to know her. You’re just looking at her. You used to think of ways to get a pretty girl’s attention, much like the other guys in the room elbowing each other to get her attention to your amusement. It doesn’t interest you to get her attention. It’s enough that she gets your attention. Because tonight, you’ll drive home and give your wife a Konstantino bangle to impress her with its fine line of Greek-inspired designs.

The Gods Must Be Envious

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:23:19 PM in Konstantino (27)

The distinct ancient Greece inspiration is unmistakable. Konstantino’s line of silver and gold jewelry relives the grandeur the classical era featuring handcrafted rings, pendants, bangles, earrings, and necklaces. The design is intricate without being overbearing. There’s a subtle hand at work here, deftly creating golden etches and nooks against a silvery bed. Konstantino’s bangles reflect the signature’s bold take on ancient jewelry making, a tradition steeped in symbols and mythology. The rings are equally confident, the large cross mounted on top is reminiscent of the gods from Mt. Olympus as they sway their hands to command all being. The necklaces are hardly understated; it is perfect to highlight one’s neckline. Clearly, Konstantino is not for the shy or low-profile. It invites attention and admiration, be it god’s or mortal’s.

The Gods must be lavish

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:30:55 PM in Konstantino (27)

It’s renowned for Greek craftsmanship, inspired by Hellenistic culture and a timeless beauty to behold. No, it’s not the Parthenon or any temples that hark back to ancient Greece. It’s Konstantino, the luxurious jewelry line from the land that gave birth to western civilization. The propensity for glitz is evident in Konstantino, not the least on its Iris collection.  The floral motifs engraved in the rings and the golden accents evoke an Olympian origin. The gods must have been wearing Konstantino to show their luxurious and lavish pedestal. The Ilios collection is equally impressive, if not more. The cognac quarts and citrine exhibit exclusive elegance, as if the god poured champagne in it and molded this collection as a gift to men. It’s a gift to us, indeed, but by Konstantino, whose creativity is almost out of this world.

Beautiful in deep blue and sterling silver

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:37:25 AM in Konstantino (27)

The Konstantino Thalassa collection extends the signature’s thematic take on ancient Greece and Byzantine art. A wide array of jewelleries from necklaces to bracelets and rings, the Konstantino Thalassa line seems jewellery pieces stolen from the gods in Mt. Olympus. The deep blue gemstone runs across the theme set in sterling silver. Miniature blue gems are also studded around the main stones creating a dazzling play of the deep blue Mediterranean around Thalassa. On the other hand, the sterling silver is hand-engraved with intricate flowers and flowing patterns that mimic the sea; the gems are helpless triremes caught in the silvery treacherous waters of a Thalassa storm. Likewise, the necklace features blue gems that are reminiscent of the Greek islands. The Konstantino Thalassa collection is truly a work of art suited for the most glamorous event, or even as a casual wear to project a sophisticated style.

The muse reborn

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:15:49 PM in Konstantino (27)

Behind every man's success is a woman, that couldn't be truer in the case of the Greek woman Aspasia. This extraordinary dame is mostly known for her involvement with Pericles, the first citizen of Athens. Aspasia is a prominent figure in ancient Greece, having been known for her beauty and uncommon wit. She was so famous that she appears in the writings of some of Greece's greatest philosophers including Plato, Xenophon and Aeschines Socraticus. Plato was so impressed by this lady's intelligence that he used Aspasia as basis for his character Diotima. Master Greek jeweler Konstantino captures Aspasia's beauty and brains with his Aspasia Color Collection, a line of finely crafted jewelry befitting women who share Aspasia's finest qualities. The designer used bright turquoise to capture the dynamic energy that Aspasia was known for. The intricate design of the pieces makes them worthy to be worn by today's muses.

Myth and mystery

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:08:26 PM in Konstantino (27)

Mysteries are a part of life. They are what make human existence a bit more exciting, taking the monotony out of everyday living. Mysteries transcend religion, culture and tradition, a universal concept as old as time itself. They take the form of folklore, ritual and in some instances, even science. Mysteries help man strive to unravel that which seems unfathomable, giving him a sense of direction and purpose. Master jewelry designer Konstantino captures the essence of mysteries in his Astritis collection. This line of finely crafted pieces is inspired by Astritis, the Greek guardian of secrets and symbol of everything mysterious. These pieces are the perfect amalgam of sterling silver, gold and precious gems.

Messenger of the gods

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:44:31 PM in Konstantino (27)

In Greek mythology, Iris, daughter of Thaumas and the cloud nymph Electra, is regarded as a divine messenger. Also known as the goddess of the sea and sky, Iris is believed to be the source of all life, as she supplies the water that sustains life. Like Hermes, she carries a winged staff enabling this Greek deity to travel from one end of the world to the other with the speed of the wind. Iris appears in a number of works in Greek mythology. In Homer's Iliad, she appears as a messenger for Zeus, the king of gods. In the play Heracles by Euripedes, the goddess curses Heracles with madness, resulting in the killing of his own family. Be it for good or otherwise, this servant to Zeus has always been believed to connect heaven and earth. Greek jeweler Konstantino pays homage to this goddess with his new Iris Collection. These exquisitely crafted pieces feature carved floral motifs, reflecting Iris' connection to the two worlds. In this line of fine jewelry, silver and gold are used to in conjunction with masterful craftsmanship to create pieces worthy of the gods.

Greek passion

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:00:15 AM in Konstantino (27)

Known as the cradle of the first advanced European civilization, Greece hosted the first Olympic Games and spawned the first of many great minds such as Homer, author of the Iliad and Odyssey. The first democratic system of government was developed and instituted in Athens. Greece was not just a country of intellectuals, it was also home to great military strategists and some of the bravest men in history, with the Spartans giving the Persians a run for their money during the Greco-Persian Wars.  Athenian jewelry designer Konstantino is known for his passion for Greek art and craftsmanship. His Nykta Collection is made up of rings and bracelets inspired by mysteries of the Mediterranean night sky, awe inspiring pieces that combine black onyx and pearls to recreate the nostalgia of Greek nights.
