Versatility is a characteristic that every successful jewelry design should have. The ability of pieces to go with any style of clothing or accessory is typical of versatile jewelry. Every piece in this collection has a simple yet transcendent design that makes it compatible with so many different styles and fashion.

The Jaipur collection is composed of a variety of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Every piece is made out of quality gold, and majority of the designs feature some type of precious stone. Some of the more extravagant pieces has a collection of diamonds. One of their signature design is a multicolor collection of gemstones and precious stones mounted into patterns on the links of bracelets or necklaces. Gemstones may include citrine, amethyst, and blue topaz among many others. Some of the ring designs may be stacked or paved, and some just include a simple single gold band with a flat mount of gemstone. In addition, some of the earring designs include simple knots or links. Perhaps to match the gemstones of a single band ring, one can wear elegant mini button gemstone earrings that also feature a flat mount for the stone.

Hot jewelry fad

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Marco Bicego says that its breathtaking new Masai rings are likely the fashionista’s current obsession. Why so? Taking inspiration from the intricate bodily ornaments designed and worn by the Masai tribe of Africa, every piece is carefully designed in 18k gold hand-coiled strands. This allows every Masai piece—from rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets—to painstakingly adjust to the body’s contours, thus enabling styles for single or group wear. Using the corda di chitarra method, Marco Bicego craftsmen meticulously join every layer of hand-coiled gold strands to produce modern-day, elegant patterns further improved with scintillating diamond detail in the shape of cushion paves in several jewelry collections. There is simply something for everyone, from the subtle to the bold fashionistas, from the single and multi-strand necklaces to the splendidly bold 11-strand crossover diamond bracelet.

Capture the elegance of the ancient city of Jaipur

Posted by Schwarzschild at 6:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

One of our favorite Marco Bicego collections is Jaipur, the line that captures the colored gemstones native to this ancient Indian city. Jaipur was a thriving trade center during its heydays, with rajahs exhibiting colorful gemstones as prized properties. The city itself was painted in vivid colors; Jaipur must have been a postcard beauty in its heights. The ancient city inspired Marco Bicego to recreate the Maharajah royal elegance. The Jaipur collection features sapphires in different colors, as if they gleam on a sunny day and with the yellow stone handcrafted using the traditional Bolino technique as the earth toned backdrop of the city. The sapphires come in pink, green, and orange shades, an alluring remembrance of Jaipur’s golden sunset. Marco Bicego’s Jaipur is ideal for both casual days and formal evenings.

Lunaria, the Mayflower, and Marco Bicego

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:20:00 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

The Lunaria is a historically significant flower in as far as we Americans are concerned. This beautiful flower was among the first flowers brought by the Pilgrims in their Mayflower journey from Europe to the New World. Its name came from the Latin word Lunaria, which means "moon-like" that pertains its the ornamental seedpods. Lunaria was included in one of the famous letters written by Thomas Jefferson, where he mentioned growing them in the enchanting gardens of Monticello. In celebration of its glorious past, Marco Bicego made the Diamond Lunaria collection, which highlights the Lunaria flower's inherent beauty through pieces featuring lightweight "petals" of luminous diamonds and hand engraved intricate gold plates. Lunaria's oscillating order of irregular chains set against the hand-etched components provides these pieces the known consummate lightness that is clearly Marco Bicego.

The Lunaria with Diamonds and White Gold

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Marco Bicego has been a name that stands out in the luxury industry. It is the name of a man and of a brand that just exudes genius in jewelry design. The brand hinges upon its Venetian roots and stays true to its Italian jewelry making roots. Marco Bicego designs are known for combining old word traditions with contemporary design that evoke the timelessness in elegance found in imperfect shapes made in 18k gold. One collection that says this all is the Diamond Lunaria. The original Lunaria's delicacy and elegance has been enhanced more by the use of the diamonds pavé and white gold elements. The Lunaria leaves are all embossed meticulously by hand and engraved with the traditional bulino technique. This new take on a Marco Bicego classic just shows the timelessness of the design. They could be interpreted over and over again to bring it in the present or even the future.

Marco Bicego, the man

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:00:50 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

He's the founder of the famous Italian jewelry brand that's also his namesake. The brand is known for its colorful gemstones and handcrafted yellow gold that creates nuances that no two pieces are alike. Marco Bicego said he's inspired by organic designs, which reflects the natural simplicity of his collections, such as Milano, Jaipur, and Goa. "I believe in my collections, as they truly come from the heart. It's a very personal thing," he said in a Fine magazine interview. He compared his designs to a woman's clothing, where the right mix of colors create an emotional connection to the wearer. Surprisingly, Marco Bicego didn't go through a formal jewelry design class. "It's part of me, creating style and expression." Although his father is a goldsmith, he said he never thought that jewelry design would be his future.

The Raj

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:03:18 PM in Marco Bicego (30)

Perhaps only a handful of civilizations can match the splendor of colonial India. Its princes and princesses brushed elegance and glamour with the Raj, the colonial government set up by the British to rule India. Imagine a wedding featuring an army of elephants dressed in jewels, while platoons of horses in elegant capes ushered the couple to an extravagant throne. It’s but a common scene during marriages between colonial India’s oligarchs. You don’t have to travel back in time to get a sense of this royal magnificence. A Marco Bicego Jaipur exudes the same air, albeit at a personal level. From rings to necklaces, bracelets to earrings, the Marco Bicego Jaipur gemstones shine in clear spectacles, and the gold runs in delicate lines. Wearing it makes you feel like the Raj royal himself, sans the elephant of course.

Pure Indian enchantment

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:10:43 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Jaipur is an enchanting city in India named after its founding ruler, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is a planned metropolis based on the Indian Vastu Shastra — a Vedic architectural approach to provide people with prosperity and comfort, as evidenced by the harmonious direction of streets, markets, and other major places. Highly captivated by this major tourist attraction, Marco Bicego created its Jaipur Collection to capture an alluring tropical Indian twilight and to celebrate the city’s deep tradition of gemstone carving. Showcasing a unique faceted cut by Marco Bicego, every Jaipur Collection piece has been meticulously hand selected for particular composition and color, not to mention the highly-detailed texturing and hand engraving to give gold better depth. The result — jewelry pieces of seamless fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern splendor which Marco Bicego is known for.

The fine art of Italian hand-carving

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:08:32 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Marco Bicego attributes the success of his elegant jewelry collections to the age-old traditional Italian art of jewelry-making which his father had handed down to him. The Bicego family’s exclusive jewelry-making methods — which primarily involve meticulous work by hand on every jewelry piece — are the reasons why all Marco Bicego creations stand out from the rest. But all the painstaking, careful work do not stop there. Each Marco Bicego piece must still undergo one final finishing touch — the brand’s signature hand engraving using the traditional tool called “bulino,” which gives gold a fine-grained, brushed surface and is noticeably present in every Bicego creation. Meticulously hand-made by master Italian artisans, each Marco Bicego piece is truly an Italian masterpiece.

Do you and your partner still talk for hours?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:08:29 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Do you still remember talking with each other for long hours about the most trivial things? You’re in love and it didn’t matter where the conversation would lead to. You just loved the idea of hanging out with each other. If you two are still doing this even as not often as back then, it’s a sign that your relationship is healthy. That shows that you still enjoy each other’s company, and not just because you need to for the children.  It’s likely that you cannot remember the topics of your conversation. You just know it takes a long while. But there may be some topics that stand out, like if you’re buying her a Marco Bicego Murano necklace, perhaps. She’s been requesting you to, and you keep dilly-dallying around the issue. Give it a break. She deserves a Marco Bicego. Heck, your relationship deserves the best.

The Right Way to Wear Jewelry for Men

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:32:22 PM in Marco Bicego (30)

Men are increasingly attracted to the lure of jewelry, so here’s a quick advice on how to wear it properly. First, keep it simple. Marco Bicego understands this. Its sleek, elegant gold and silver men’s bracelets are simple yet impressive that match any formal men’s wear. Second, match the material. It’s best to wear one tone at a time, whether gold, silver, bronze, wood or leather so you don’t overwhelm your style. Third, know when to wear jewelry.  Reserve it for special occasions and, definitely, you don’t need to wear it on the barbecue weekend save for the wedding ring, perhaps. Lastly, be tasteful or to put it in reverse, don’t be ostentatious. Jewelry may be small but it grabs attention so wear it at a minimum.  Keep these tips in mind or check on Marco Bicego’s style as reference and you’ll be exuding a fashionable style soon.

Dazzling diamonds

Diamonds have always captured the fancy of women. But did you know such gems are not easy to come by? These precious stones take thousands of years to form from carbon. Carbon, when subjected to high temperature and pressure at depths of up to 190 kilometers beneath the earth, becomes these glimmering wonders of nature. But as rare as they are, the beauty of diamonds are truly meant to augment the female allure. Artfully Italian

Posted by Schwarzschild at 6:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (30)

Italy’s romance with art goes back to the days of ancient kings who ruled the old Europe. The country played a key role during the Renaissance when Europe renewed its affair with the aesthetics. Italian artists also dominated the arts throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, eventually producing the finest painters and sculptors in history.  Today, Italy continues to be a major artistic hub, with its colossal art galleries and museums. Italian cities such as Rome, Florence and Venice also frequently host art exhibitions. The Italian artistic spirit is preserved in the works of jewel designer Marco Bicego. Using traditional techniques, Bicego exquisitely designs gold rings, bracelets and other pieces. His Jaipur Limited Edition Collection is a product of traditional Italian goldsmith and jewelry making methods, facilitating a union of the past and the present. The pieces are a fusion of fine gold and precious gems designed to appeal to contemporary taste.
