Tying the knot

Posted by Schwarzschild at 8:55:00 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

"A man without a wife is like a vase without flowers," so said an African proverb. Relationship experts explain that couples get married for various reasons, some of which are particular to their special relationship, while the majority share similar reasons for planning the long walk down the aisle. But whatever their reasons are for tying the know, which may be primarily because of love, money, legal, the combination of these or because of some other reasons, understanding the importance of marriage can help couples appreciate the commitment they vow to uphold for keeps. And perhaps some of the best ways to express one's sincerest pledge are with Martin Flyer's Micro Pave Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands, which perfect fit as one using the industry's best FlyerFit technology that removes the unwanted gaps present in the rings. Just like the ardent passion of two people in love, Martin Flyer rings are meant to last forever.

It’s evolution

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:00:00 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

One reason why men give a diamond engagement ring to their loved one is to show their strength. Not in a physical sense, but in a symbolic way. If you can afford an expensive item like a Martin Flyer Solitaire, it reflects your financial strength to raise a family. This is the subtle message when you showcase a diamond ring to a woman. It isn’t materialistic, but we’re hardwired to our evolutionary instinct to survive. And one of these instincts is to ensure the male partner is strong enough to protect his family and allow them to strive for the survival of the larger community. But today, men need not muscle to show off, but stability to ensure the woman they’re marrying can strive and raise a family under his care. It may be politically incorrect, but we’re stuck with this evolutionary instinct whether we want it or not.

Why a solitaire ring is still the best

Posted by Schwarzschild at 8:00:00 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

A solitaire ring embodies a lot of meanings when given as a wedding ring. It can mean you desire no one but one, your partner. It can also stand for two souls being married into one. A solitaire ring also evokes focus, a single stone takes all the limelight, just as the bride is the star of the wedding. Likewise, the single-stone ring can symbolize loyalty, that there’s only one person that you’ll love, ever. Or, the ring can mean your life has only one purpose: to love your partner for the rest of your life. Despite the trend of more fabulous and extravagant ring styles, the solitaire continues to remain as a powerful wedding symbol.  So, if you’re looking for a most elegant solitaire ring, there’s always the Martin Flyer Classic Solitaire to express your one true love.

The Right Diamond Ring For You

Posted by Schwarzschild at 11:00:00 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

When choosing which diamond set is for you, the rule of thumb is it should match your personality. Forget about following today's trend or copying what celebrities do; looking at the your wedding album years from now will make you cringe to see yourself wearing an already outdated ring. Your safe bet is to go for the time-honored settings and this means you have five choices, as explained in the Martin Flyer site. First, the solitaire is the most traditional set with a single stone at the center. Second, the three-stone features a big diamond between two smaller stones. It is the fancier version of the solitaire. Third, the channel shows small diamonds encrusted along a crevice in the band. It is elegant and sturdy. Fourth,  the micro pave is a center diamond surrounded by small diamonds that gives it an air of antiquity. Lastly, shared prong sets the diamond on metal prongs to expose more facets for greater brilliance.

Rusty ring

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:30:19 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

Twenty years ago I gave my girlfriend a box that contained a Spartan ring to ask her hand in marriage. The ring was one of those pieces they’d display in mall kiosks or booths. Funny because the rings were just laid down there neatly arranged but exposed to the passing crowd. It’s like telling you they’re so cheap that the seller didn’t even mind if he lost one or two from pickpockets. When my girlfriend got this ring, she wetted her eyes a little and said yes. It was a simple ring back when I was living a simple life. I had a great career run soon that would take me all the way to C-level post. I’ve bought my wife other jewelry since then, expensive ones like a Martin Flyer pair. She loved it. But nothing compared to that old rusty ring she still keeps in her drawer.

Should you return the engagement ring?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:48:26 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

When things didn’t work out between you and your partner like a fairy tale’s end, the inevitable question pops up: should you return the engagement or wedding ring? The easy answer is yes; it is, after all, a symbol of your man’s commitment, which didn’t push through anyway. But what if it’s a really expensive luxury diamond like a Martin Flyer? The premise is that an engagement ring is a conditional gift and can be revoked when you uncouple. Never mind the ring’s value. If you want to maintain an air of dignity and respect, even if you’ve been wronged, the ring goes with the man. Jennifer Lopez understood this and gave her ring back to Marc Anthony despite being together for many years. Martin Flyer is available at Schwarzschild's in Short Pump Town Center.

True class comes with a drink, not in it

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:05:45 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

Call it absurd but it truly exists. You can sip a glass of diamond-sparkled champagne at London’s Sheraton Park Hotel. The cocktail is served with a real diamond inside! But you have to pay around $1,000 per drink. If you’re a little tied up you can choose the gemstone in the drink, say, a ruby. It’s silly, we know, but sometimes, people go at lengths to show off their wealth or impress their partner. Forget the drink. You can always impress your partner by giving her a Martin Flyer diamond ring. It’s the real thing, a real classy diamond that will last for a lifetime as a true testament to your undying love. Pop champagne if you will, then surprise her with the Martin Flyer. Now that’s true class.

Commemorating anniversaries

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:13:20 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

After one love-filled year, the traditional gift is mother of pearl, then garnet in the second, followed by blue topaz, amethyst, tourmaline, and crystal in the tenth. On the twentieth is emerald, pearl after ten more years, then ruby, diamond and sapphire on the 65th. So what is this list for? Your guess is probably correct — these are customary gemstone gifts for wedding anniversaries. The tradition of gift-giving for wedding anniversaries dates back to the glory days of the Roman Empire. Even monarchs and political leaders send congratulatory messages to couples celebrating their 50th anniversaries. While rituals and mores vary in different cultures and countries, the deep, ardent love that couples share for each other is universal.
And if you want to be sure with your anniversary gift — wherever you are and which anniversary will be celebrated — there’s Martin Flyer Classic Diamond Anniversary Band. With a 14k white gold eternity shared prong, this iconic piece is a definite must-have to celebrate timeless love.

Rarer than diamonds

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:24:06 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

For thousands of years, emeralds had graced necks and wrists of the rich and the powerful, from queens of ancient civilizations to present-day politicians, business moguls, and entertainment VIPs. During the recent years, the value of emeralds is beginning to dramatically skyrocket, both at recent auctions worldwide and because they are simply very scarce. Gem experts say they’re more than 20 times rarer compared to diamonds. Most emeralds come from Colombia, and crude ones are taken to Jaipur where they are processed for jewelry. If you’re intending to own some of these elegant green gems, premier jeweler Martin Flyer has designed a charming offering. As part of the Precious Trends Collection, Martin Flyer’s Emerald and Diamond Flower Ring is undoubtedly a precious thing to behold. Set in 14K White Gold, this awesome green piece is likely to make others green with envy.

When do you know it’s time to get married?

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:10:59 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

When you’ve been taking in as family even if you don’t know it yet, or you’re just naïve to realize it. Her dad likes you. Her mother adores you. Her little brother plays catch with you. Even the Labrador likes you. But the most obvious clue probably is that you look forward to a barbecue weekend with her family. You’re family, indeed. Why not make it official then and make a big splash out of it? No less than a Martin Flyer wedding ring will impress her whole tribe. The patented FlyerFit is the perfect symbol when you fit right in in her family and life. The glamor aside, giving her a Martin FlyerFit ring is telling her and her family that you are giving her the best that you can.

Best Band for Your Groom

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:27:50 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

Wedding band, that is. Give him the wedding band that best reflects his personality. Here are some quick ideas. Make sure the band fits his lifestyle. Is he into sports? Manual labor? Does he love tinkering with equipment or make his hands soiled? A durable band is your best option. Also consider his style. Most men want a simple band, but some do fancy a more elaborate make. Likewise, get a professional sizing. This is often done for free by jewelers as part of their service. Another factor is the cost. Work within the budget, but no one is stopping you from getting a luxury brand like a Martin Flyer. Consider saving up for a longer time for this luxurious brand if you feel it reflects your love and your groom (and you) deserves no less. It’s the perfect fit, so to speak, for our final tip: the bride’s and groom’s ring should be a match.

Crazy Proposal Ideas

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:35:03 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

Are you thinking of the best way to propose? Here are a few crazy ideas. Put up a billboard display showing you proposing. Visit Paris with her and give her a chocolate truffle with the ring on top. Buy her roses with the ring inside one of the roses. Ask a favour from the projectionist to put the ring in front of the projector to show the ring before the trailers. Call a singing group to make a house call. Let her open the door as they sing your proposal. Have dinner at a fancy restaurant. Ask the waiter to bring a special plate with cover and inside is the ring. Let the waiter open it to her. Pop the question at the top of a ferris wheel. Ask an amusement park barker to announce your proposal. Well, the list is endless and is only limited by your creativity. However you do it, top the surprise with a Martin Flyer engagement ring. The two, truly, become one.

Diamonds are forever, even after marriage

Posted by Schwarzschild at 11:04:54 AM in Martin Flyer (24)

Diamond rings often bring to mind engagements and weddings, but they can also be perfect gifts for anniversaries. In fact, they should be more meaningful as a gift after you have proven your long-lasting love, not before. The Martin Flyer Classic Diamond Anniversary Band tells your partner how much you still value her; not even time can diminish your love and passion. Where the engagement ring declared your love and the wedding band manifested your commitment on this love, the Martin Flyer diamond anniversary ring is a gift of reassurance. Ironically, diamonds may be the ultimate material gift for a woman, yet as an anniversary gift, the same “materialism” seems to transform into a metaphysical gift, something that tells your woman that she is always worth the best thing the world can offer.

Making memories

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:59:54 PM in Martin Flyer (24)

Engagements come but once in a lifetime (ideally that is). It's an event that necessitates more than a ritual in the form of luxurious dinners with friends and family. It’s also more than a public declaration of unending love between couples for all to see. Engagements could be many things, things that other people usually want to see. But what do engagements really mean? It is professing one's love and unwavering loyalty to another, a promise of living a lifetime together. Aside from these, engagements are also occasions that should forever be remembered, and what better way to seal this commitment than with a Martin Flyer Classic Micropave Engagement Ring. The most noticeable feature of these bands is their antique appearance, a look that is accomplished using intricate diamond settings, with metal beads surrounding each stone. The design gives these pieces that unmistakeable look of modern style and elegance.
So make your engagement a memorable one, find these rings at Schwarzschild's at Short Pump Town Center.
