Raymond Weil’s Toccata

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:16:30 PM in Raymond Weil (23)

Raymond Weil makes creating fashion forward and accurate timepieces a habit; and it is definitely a habit that is for keeps. One of the newer models that came from this Swiss genius is the Toccata. The Toccata sports an uncluttered beauty of steel on steel with small second. It is powered by a quartz movement and has a small second hand at 6 o’clock. It has a 39mm diameter and a thickness of 8.29mm. The Toccata watch has the fashionable steel indexes that are thin and pure. It also displays the date through a window at 3 o’clock. The Toccata might not be the loudest design in the world but it has this silent and subtle beauty that exudes elegance and charm.

The Toccata and other Raymond Weil pieces are available at Schwarzschild’s at Carry Town.

Raymond Weil’s musicality

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:37:07 PM in Raymond Weil (23)

Raymond Weil has always been inspired by the intricacies of music and the Maestro collection follows this rhythm. This watch feels more like jazz; it’s got a groove but not that loud and its rhythm is smooth with unexpected turns. The rose gold PVD plating and stainless steel casing houses a mechanical movement with automatic winding, whose balance wheel is visible through an opening at 12 o’clock. It’s protected by an anti-scratch, anti-glare sapphire crystal and comes with a Raymond Weil logo engraved in the crown. The leather strap with traditional buckle reveals conservatism, while the black dial with indexes in zone reflects elegance. It’s a perfect unison of function and design, much like jazz music combines precision while keeping a surprise at the bend.

Power dressing tips

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:57:15 PM in Raymond Weil (23)

Power dressing or creating a sharp professional outfit can help your career move forward. People are more inclined to treat you positively if you exude an air of confidence and neat look. Follow these simple tips on how to achieve power dressing. Make use of blazers. They can transform even the most ordinary tee into a semi-formal look. This is handy especially if you have an unexpected client visitor. Wear fitting tailored suit and pants. They’ll give you a thinner appearance, which can make you appear more versatile and savvy. Use luxurious fabric like cashmere and silk. They give you a psychological edge knowing that you’re wearing a serious suit. Likewise, use a nice dress watch like Raymond Weil. Men: How to dress elegantly every day

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:15:20 PM in Raymond Weil (23)

Power dressing also means neat dressing for men. What we wear makes a lasting impression, so if you hold a job that requires impressing a client or the big bosses, you should dress neatly every day. It takes calculated steps to achieve a smooth appearance daily, so here are some tips. First, prefer non-pleated over pleated pants. The former creates a simpler but neat look; besides pleated belongs to the eighties and nineties. Likewise, tighter pants and suits (but not too tight) create a leaner and sleeker look than wide and loose clothing. They exude precision, and that counts when you want to be perceived as a decisive. You should also choose a simple yet elegant dress watch like a Raymond Weil. Nothing fancy, but purely well-designed and tasteful. These are the traits of real class.

Sublime symphony

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:26:28 AM in Raymond Weil (23)

Giuseppe Verdi’s classic opera “Nabucco” chronicles the turbulent plight and exodus of the Jews under the hands of the Babylonian King Nabucco (Nebuchadnezzar in English). Amidst the significant issues that surrounded this opera's release in 1842, Nabucco is indubitably the defining opus that elevated Verdi as among the greatest composers of all time. To salute this masterpiece, Raymond Weil launched the similarly classic Nabucco Collection — a selection of polished, well-engineered timepieces that radiate the distinguished, compelling and seriously masculine character for the strong-minded men of today and beyond. Launched in 2007, this collection showcases exclusive designs, powerful proportions and the innovative, pioneering use of state-of-the-art materials — rose gold, titanium, rubber, stainless steel and carbon fiber. Each Nabucco timepiece echoes the bold mechanical innovation, design expertise and remarkable watchmaking tradition of the watchmaker.

He came, he saw, he conquered

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:30:11 AM in Raymond Weil (23)

Last January 27, 2014, one of the major innovators of the Swiss watch industry had passed away. Mr. Raymond Weil, the founder of the luxury watch brand after his name died at the age of ripe age of 87. One of the few remaining independent Swiss brands, his company was bravely established in 1976, at the very onset of the Swiss watch industry crisis. After some fruitful years working at Camy watch, he formed his own company primarily on the philosophy of creating superior watches with high quality design but at affordable prices. He was also a long time president of Baselworld. The admirable, self-reliant mindset and laudable benevolence of Mr. Raymond Weil will continue to move people everywhere.

Doing good is good business

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:19:41 AM in Raymond Weil (23)

Raymond Weil is one of the last independent Swiss watchmakers in a world where a few big luxury companies have merged to control much of this high-end industry. Its biggest secret to succeed in this tightly controlled market is its heritage, the Swiss craftsmanship and quality dedication of its founder whose name the brand is carrying. But aside from offering luxurious timepieces, Raymond Weil has also embarked on giving back to society with its charity outreach. It has been involved in fund raising for the fight against cancer, benefiting organizations such as the International Cancer Control, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Singapore Cancer Society. Likewise, the luxury watchmaker is also helping preserve the foundations of music education programs across the United States. Two years ago, it has partnered with VH1 Save the Music Foundation to raise funds for the program. For Raymond Weil good business also means doing good for others.

Feminine freedom at its best

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:17:51 PM in Raymond Weil (23)

Since time immemorial, most cultures had always considered the female gender as the "weaker" sex, maybe due to a woman's normally less muscular built, or even due to the male's ever-preponderating machismo. But ever since the 19th century Women's Lib movement, gender inequality is now just a memory. Raymond Weil gives salute to the women of today by creating an exclusively feminine collection: Shine. This for-female-only timepiece assembly features the watchmaker’s patented interchangeable bracelet system which gives a woman the freedom to easily change the strap based on her mood for each moment. Girls just wanna have fun, right? But it doesn’t stop there. Women can also choose which type of strap they want for their Shine timepiece—either metal bracelet or denim or leather strap. So there’s no more reason to hide a woman’s true persona, let her true colors shine through the Raymond Weil Shine.

Limited luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 11:10:53 AM in Raymond Weil (23)

The best timepieces around are not necessarily the most luxurious or most popular signatures. Sometimes it is the watch in limited edition that lends a more sophisticated style and intrinsic value. Like the limited edition Nabucco Cuore Caldo Twelve by Raymond Weil. The style is bold and modern, yet you feel a history of precision engineering and craftsmanship behind this Swiss timepiece. It features the word “Twelve” etched in gold, a philosophical take on the numeral that separates day and night. The dials and rim are likewise in gold, which provide a solid contrast to the titanium parts and carbon fiber body. Only seventy six units of the Nabucco Cuore Caldo are manufactured, making it a prize collectible or a gift for a very important person.

Keeping up with the men

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:26:12 AM in Raymond Weil (23)

For many members of the male species, watches not only signify social status or artistic taste, they also tell something about a man’s masculinity. The masculine character has been symbolized since the dawn of time. In the olden days men were represented by various objects, for knights it’s the sword, for authors, it’s the quill. But what reflects a man’s character in this modern age? Noted watchmaker Raymond Weil answers this question with its Don Giovanni Cosi Grande automatic chronograph. This timepiece epitomizes today’s gentleman. It’s a fully automatic watch that comes with a steel casing for that look of refinement. It also features a chronograph and an alligator skin strap that could only spell manliness in every sense of the word. The Don Giovanni Cosi Grande automatic chronograph offers both functionality and style, a true symbol of today’s gentleman.
