Where Time is Eternal

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:57:28 PM in Wellendorf (21)

Have you ever enjoyed yourself that you’ve totally forgotten the time?  That in your mind and heart, everything is going along as planned? Your day starts smoothly, hassle-free, and effortlessly. Wherein the tickling of the clock suddenly stops and you become totally oblivious of the things that go on around you — a feeling of loving and being loved; an achievement at the end of a struggle. But suddenly, BAM! Before you knew it, it stops; it ends, leaving a feeling of sheer ache, with much scuffling and tussling. It makes you wish for days gone, for time to stand still. At Wellendorff, perfect moments and experiences in life, though fleeting, ephemeral, and transitory are forever preserved throughout eternity. With its Genuine Delight Collection, time is eternal.

Rare experiences

Posted by Schwarzschild at 5:00:00 AM in Wellendorf (21)

The 2016 Naples Winter Wine Festival pools together exclusive auction items for its grand festival this January at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples. Among the choiced auctions slated for the glamorous wine event includes an exclusive dinner with Martina McBride. Then there’s the private Versailles tour with a rare dinner in the apartment of Louis XV. Another major auction item is the engraved bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Staglin Family Vineyard Estate. The vineyard is devoted to organic wines. The live auctions is the highlight of the annual event, featuring experiences and products that cannot be bought elsewhere. For example, a minor auction will tour the winner around New York City with a private dinner with a Broadway star, including backstage passes to the show. Wellendorff is participating in this event with a custom-engraved rings from Master Goldsmith Christoph Wellendorff.

What kissing is like

Posted by Schwarzschild at 12:00:55 PM in Wellendorf (21)

A psychology professor specializing in sexuality and healthy psychology said kissing stimulates the same brain activity as bungee jumping. Marta Miana said that a really good passionate kiss releases a surge in norepinephrine, dopamine, and phenylethylamine, the same experience that our brains go through in exhilarating activities. These are called pleasure receptors, which create sensations of euphoria, giddiness, and similar strong positive feelings. She also said that, like drugs, these neurotransmitters are addicting and, to some extent, certain types of people are more vulnerable to it than others. However, it shouldn't be equated to a sexual addiction; rather, it's more closely associated with the hopeless romantic types, the kind that will have no second thoughts of giving a Wellendorff ring to show his undying love...on the first date.

Comfortably Beautiful

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:30:01 PM in Wellendorf (21)

Wellendorff has always been a successful maker of visually stunning jewelry. But this isn’t all that comes with these pieces worthy of adoration. They too are marvels when it comes to how comfortable they are to the skin when worn by a proud wearer. Comfort has always been the company’s technical aims. Wellendorff has given ample attention to continuously and permanently improve fastenings for smoother putting on and taking off. These are some things that can be considered as intangibles as these are not heavily thought about much less acted upon by most producers of luxury jewelry. Wellendorff always keeps the sake of the wearer in mind – from both the beauty perspective and the practical use. The Wellendorff rope necklace is a testament to this commitment as it is visually beautiful, a technical beauty and as smooth as silk when worn.

Enduring Luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:34:23 PM in Wellendorf (21)

If endurance is the benchmark for excellence in the jewelry industry, then Wellendorff cannot be any more perfect as a picture of excellence. The jewelry signature has been run by a German family across five generations. To put that in perspective, it has survived two world wars, witnessed the grandeur of Europe’s aristocracy and saw its demise along with imperialism. The manufactory that produces the trademark spinning rings, silky rope necklaces, cold enamel, and patented clasps today has its origins from the late nineteenth century, when a man named Ernst Alexander Wellendorff, would present his jewelry pieces to the German nobility in nearby Baden-Baden. His works would reach the Russian aristocracy, paving the way to making Wellendorff one of the oldest jewelry brands in the world.

Wellendorff Cold Enamel

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:50:05 PM in Wellendorf (21)

The genius of Wellendorff is drawn from many sources of inspiration – engineering, art, history, literature and so much more. It is through the love of these that Wellendorff has reached and stayed on the pedestal that is on today. Wellendorff is a brand that is known for its innovative designs spanning for 120 years. Wellendorff mixes pure creativity with impeccable engineering and craftsmanship to produce pieces that constantly push boundaries. This is very apparent in the transparent cold enamel technique that Wellendorff developed in their ateliers. This technique brings about the impeccable beauty, brilliance and clarity in its colors. A jewelry that has went through this process is embellished with up to three levels of engraving that helps the material further in conjuring a subtle kaleidoscopic effect of light with the sparkling of colors. This process also allows the cold enamel to follow the stretching of gold and withstand extreme strain. This makes jewelry impact-proof and shock-proof; perfect for our modern daily lives.

German perfection in ultimately luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 3:11:51 PM in Wellendorf (21)

Luxury jewelry brands breathe by its signature and Wellendorff is no different. The German jewelry signature has made a name for unique and stylish designs, notably its spinning rings, cold enamel and rope necklace. These are not just the product of a creative penchant, but the result of German engineering that made the styles exclusively Wellendorff. The rings spin nimbly along a velvety path on one’s finger, giving it a magical realism air. Wellendorff goldsmiths are known to manufacture within a hundredth of a millimetre tolerance to achieve the smooth spin. Meantime, Wellendorff’s transparent cold enamel can follow the gold’s stretching allowing it to withstand extreme strain. Likewise, the rope design was one of the brand’s most famous works, thin gold threads woven together to create a stunning necklace.

Masterpieces in little pieces

Posted by Schwarzschild at 2:30:20 PM in Wellendorf (21)

A Wellendorff piece represents the first luxurious German jewelry. It has the mystic of German perfection and a dash of antiquity and arts. The signature jewelry popularized the moving rings, but it also made a mark as one of the most exquisite styles in luxury jewelry. Wellendorff rings are bold, betraying its Germanic roots of bravery. Its designers are not afraid to veer away from the neat (but sometimes boringly predictable) platinum lines of expensive collections. Rather, Wellendorff rings feature purple, flashy red, deep black and bright yellow, while allowing these loud colors to blend with precious metals and gems. At the hands of an inexperienced jeweler, these styles can easily turn tacky, but in the Wellendorff artist’s deft hands, the rings become masterpieces worthy of their own gallery.

Why purple is a symbol of luxury

Posted by Schwarzschild at 1:40:36 PM in Wellendorf (21)

The purple royalty is celebrated in each Wellendorff ring, but do you know how purple became a symbol of luxury? We know it’s worn by magistrates, emperors, and oligarchs in Ancient Rome and, later, by Roman Catholic bishops. We also know that kings and queens in the medieval times prefer this color in their emblems.  In fact, it’s still used by the British Royal family today in special occasions like coronations and pageantry. Purple became a royal color because purple fabric used to be expensive. It was only obtained from one source, the small mollusk, and in only one place, the Tyre region in the Mediterranean Sea. Much like diamonds are rare now, purple became exclusive to the upper echelons of society, and that means royalty back in time.

2014 Ring of the Year

Posted by Schwarzschild at 9:39:23 AM in Wellendorf (21)

The long-awaited annual Wellendorff event has finally arrived! The world-famous German jewelry maker recently unveiled this year’s Ring Of The Year — the “I Wish You Luck” ring — an astounding piece featuring a diamond-set four-leaf clover. The company started this celebrated tradition in 1997 in Hong Kong with the very first Ring Of The Year to commemorate the turning over of Hong Kong by Great Britain back to China. Since then, Wellendorff designs a limited edition ring of the year with various distinctive styles for that period. For this year, the special piece is meant to “immortalise” one’s extraordinary “moments of luck”. The company believes that one of the most amazing feelings one can ever feel is being blessed with good fortune and luck, which ultimately brings infinite joy. Same as other Wellendorff pieces, this year’s ring also spins and is engaged with “2014” and the eminent “W” Wellendorff signature.

A Midsummer Cherry Festival

Posted by Schwarzschild at 8:10:27 AM in Wellendorf (21)

Who says engagement is the most romantic moment for couples? This couple proves otherwise.

The couple met at the state's annual cherry festival. The girl won the beauty contest, earning the right to be "Miss Cherry" for the year. The boy later asked the girl for a dance during the evening promenade. The couple married and years later moved to a foreign country. As nice as the new country was, it did not feature a cherry festival, let alone any cherries. The man decided to surprise his wife with a ring from Wellendorff on the date of their hometown cherry festival hidden in a box of imported cherries. The wife was thrilled to discover the box of cherries awaiting her. One by one, each cherry was devoured. Finally, she saw it, the ring at the bottom. A note was attached to the cherry diamond and enamel ring, which requested a dance from Miss Cherry. Soft music was played and the couple danced well into the early morning.

Earrings that match Wellendorff rings

Posted by Schwarzschild at 7:32:08 AM in Wellendorf (21)

Wellendorff is famous for its spinning purple rings. But the signature has also an elegant line of earrings that deserve your attention. They carry the Wellendorff nobility tradition of giving you a royal feel every time you don this jewelry. For one the Magic Purple earring in white gold and encrusted with diamonds is impressive; it actually consists of three rings that interlocked with each other. The same style and design is available in 18k yellow gold. Similarly, the Noble-Brilliance of the Sun earring is more delicate-looking, its thin lines add elegance to bigger and more angular facial shapes. The same elegance, albeit bolder, is found in the Angel of the Night set in white gold and studded with diamonds. These Wellendorff earrings are the perfect match for the world renowned spinning rings.

An angel for an angel

Posted by Schwarzschild at 10:36:16 AM in Wellendorf (21)

Derived from the Greek word “angelos,” angels are supernatural beings whose universality cannot be denied. They exist in almost all religious literature around the world, transcending all cultures. These divine creatures are believed to be humanoid in appearance and act as mediators between heaven and earth. They are also tasked to guide men and carry out God’s orders. Depicted in literature as having wings, they are also believed to have halos and glimmering auras. In modern times, the term “angel” has become a common reference to beautiful women, an appreciation of the highest order. Top German jewelry designer Wellendorff pays tribute to these heavenly entities in its Sweet Angel amulet. This piece comes in 18K yellow gold, adorned with fine diamonds and further accentuated with cold enamel. It is certain to make the perfect gift for anyone’s special angel.
